Scenes From My Dreams
Throughout my life I have always had pretty odd and twisted dreams… and as I continue prodding on through my conscious life my subconscious has been going crazy, almost screaming at me for recognition through my dreams. And so I have begun a process of trying to understand them, trying to understand whats potting somewhere there in the back of my head.
So what i’ve been doing basically is the first step in the process to lucid dreaming. Which in simplicity is the awareness of your dreams whilst you are dreaming, knowing in your dream that you are dreaming. So I have been recalling my dreams, waking up, writing and drawing them down immediately, remembering all the small details. As this gets done more regularly so do the dreams and the clarity of them. The idea too then is to be able to interpret them and be able to understand a teensy percent of the ongoings of my subconscious.
In order to fully recall my dreams I’ve decided to illustrate them as a way of pushing myself to remember all the details. I find that the strange ongoings in my subconscious are an incredible source of inspiration for art and hens the series of illustrations “Scenes from my dreams” has begun.
